BCC Nears Close for 2014

Only a few days left in May to ride and record your miles in the 2014 BCC! Get in a few more practical trips before the end of the month if you can, and then return your Mileage Log or record your totals at our online reporting page. Paper Mileage Logs may be returned to the Olympia Transit Center Customer Service desk, or mailed to:

Please return your Mileage Log or report online by June 9, to give us time to tally all the results before our Award "Ceremony" on June 28. The earlier in June that you report your participation, the more chances you have to win in random prize drawings during June!

You Can Still Participate in the BCC!

All that is required to participate in the Thurston County Bicycle Commuter Contest is to register, ride at least ONCE for practical purposes in May, and return your Mileage Log, or report your participation online. If you do that much, we'll send you an envelope stuffed with coupons and free offers from our awsome sponsors, and enter you to win many excellent prizes, including a brand new bike! There are still almost two weeks left in May, so sign up now and give it a try!
You must live or work in Thurston County to participate, and part of your commute by bike must be within Thurston County. The online mileage reporting page has not yet been activated- coming soon!

Bike To Work Day a Big Success in Thurston County!

Hundreds of people took to the streets on their bikes in Thurston County to participate in Bike To Work Day. They rode their bikes to work or other destinations, stopped at one or more of several Bike Stations, or participated in sponsored lunch hour bike rides at work. National Bike To Work Day, Friday May 16

The weather is looking promising for Bike To Work Day this Friday! See our Events Page or our Facebook Event for details about what we'll be up to that day. Also, State Employees are invited to the 8th Annual Interagency Bike Ride. Lacey Bike Fair and Rodeo This Saturday

Lacey Parks and Recreation presents the  Lacey Community Bike Fair and Rodeo is this Saturday, May 3^rd, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Mountain View Elementary School (1900 College St SE, Lacey). This is a FREE event and registration is the same day. There will be free helmets, prize drawings, free hotdog lunch for participants, entertainment, arts and crafts, plus much more.
