" Bridge the Gap" Phase II Ground-Breaking a Success!

City, County and State elected officials prepare to dig in as community members look on, at the June 6 Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the bridge over Martin Way, the second of three bridges which will connect the northern segment of the Chehalis-Western Trail with the southern segment, and the Lacey Woodland Trail, further enabling both recreational and practical cyclists and walkers to move safely and efficiently around our community.

Today is the Day!
Time to Turn in that Mileage Log!
We had a record turn-out for the 2009 Bicycle Commuter Contest,
now let's make sure we follow through and record a record level of participation.
A big part of the impact of the BCC comes from the data that we collect about the cycling habits of our community. It is also a great way to provide feedback to us about the contest, and to the local jurisdictions about cycling conditions in our area. So please, turn in your Mileage Record at the Olympia Transit Center today!
They are open until 7pm, and if you left your log at home, they are downloadable here:
Thanks so much for helping make this a great year for the Bicycle Commuter Contest, and stay tuned for more info about our Award Ceremony, and the winners of the different categories in the contest!
