Celebrate summer at the 3rd Annual Bike the Deschutes event on Sunday, July 26.
The ride offers 5, 20 and 30 mile routes designed for families and recreational cyclists. All three routes begin and end at Tumwater Historical Park. Each route provides opportunities to learn about the Deschutes River watershed. Riders can start any time between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.

Children and adults who want to join in the fun can make salmon art and a delicious "edible aquifer". The event includes live music, educational displays, free snacks, and a raffle drawing for bike gear and other great prizes donated by local businesses.

New for 2009 is the incorporation of Olympia’s Woodland Trail into the 20 and 30 mile routes. Bike the Deschutes has gone from 100 riders in the first year to 200 last year. The team’s goal for 2009 is 300 riders. Please help make this year’s ride the best Bike the Deschutes yet!
